ऊर्ध्वं केतुं सविता देवो अश्रेज्ज्योतिर्विश्वस्मै भुवनाय कृण्वन् । आप्रा द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरिक्षं वि सूर्यो रश्मिभिश्चेकितानः ॥
ūrdhvám ketúṃ savitā́ dēvó aśret jyótir víśvasmai bhúvanāya kṛṇván | āprā́ dyāvā-pṛthivī́ antárikṣaṃ ví sū́ryo raśmíbhiś cékītānaḥ ||
Hoch hat Savitar, der Gott, das Zeichen erhoben, das Licht für alle Welten schaffend. Er hat Himmel und Erde und den Luftraum erfüllt; und Sūrya, wach im Erkennen, breitet sich aus mit seinen Strahlen.
