Sukta 4.1
स दूतो विश्वेदभि वष्टि सद्मा होता हिरण्यरथो रंसुजिह्वः । रोहिदश्वो वपुष्यो विभावा सदा रण्वः पितुमतीव संसत् ॥
sá dūtó víśved abhí vaṣṭi sádmā hótā híraṇya-ratho rám-sujihvaḥ | róhid-aśvo vapuṣyò vibhā́vā sádā raṇváḥ pitumátīva saṃsát ||
Er, der Bote, umspannt alle Wohnstätten; der Hotar mit goldenem Wagen, mit einer Zunge, die am Opfertrank Gefallen hat. Mit rötlichen Rossen, schön an Gestalt, weithin strahlend, sitzt er stets in der lieblichen Versammlung wie einer, der reich an Nahrung ist.
