महो अग्नेः समिधानस्य शर्मण्यनागा मित्रे वरुणे स्वस्तये । श्रेष्ठे स्याम सवितुः सवीमनि तद्देवानामवो अद्या वृणीमहे ॥

mahó agnéḥ samidhānásya śármaṇy anā́gā mitré váruṇe svastáye | śréṣṭhe syāma savitúḥ savī́mani tád devā́nām ávo adyā́ vṛṇīmahe ||

Im großen Schutz Agnis, der inwendig entzündet ist, mögen wir schuldlos sein; in Mitra und Varuṇa zu unserem Heil. Mögen wir im besten Stand sein in Savitars wahrer Anregung. Diese schützende Hilfe der Götter erwählen wir heute.
