निधीयमानमपगूळ्हमप्सु प्र मे देवानां व्रतपा उवाच । इन्द्रो विद्वाँ अनु हि त्वा चचक्ष तेनाहमग्ने अनुशिष्ट आगाम् ॥

Transliteration

nidhī́yamānam ápāgūḷham apsú prá me devā́nāṃ vratapā́ uvāca | índro vidvā́n ánu hí tvā cacakṣa ténā́ham agne ánuśiṣṭa ā́gām ||

Translation

Als man dich, im Wasser verborgen, niederlegte, sprach zu mir der Hüter des göttlichen Gesetzes (vrata-pā). Indra, der Wissende, hat dich wahrlich erblickt und ist dir nachgegangen; durch jene Führung, o Agni, von innen her unterwiesen, bin ich gekommen.
