तदिन्मे छन्त्सद्वपुषो वपुष्टरं पुत्रो यज्जानं पित्रोरधीयति । जाया पतिं वहति वग्नुना सुमत्पुंस इद्भद्रो वहतुः परिष्कृतः ॥

Transliteration

tád ín me chantsad váp uṣo váp uṣṭaraṃ putró yáj jā́naṃ pitrór adhī́yati | jāyā́ pátiṃ vahati vánunā su-mát puṃsá íd bhadró vahátuḥ pári-kṛtaḥ ||

Translation

Das erfreut mich wahrlich: eine Gestalt, vollkommener als Gestalt — wenn der Sohn die Abstammung der beiden Eltern erlernt. Die Gattin trägt den Gatten mit williger Liebe und rechtem Sinn; für die Seele (púṃs) ist die glückverheißende Hochzeitsfahrt bereitet und wohlgefügt.
