अस्येदेव शवसा शुषन्तं वि वृश्चद्वज्रेण वृत्रमिन्द्रः । गा न व्राणा अवनीरमुञ्चदभि श्रवो दावने सचेताः ॥

Sanskrit recitationRig Veda 1.61.10

asyédeva śávasā śuṣántaṃ ví vṛścad vájreṇa vṛtrám índraḥ | gā́ na vrāṇā́ avánīr amuñcad abhí śrávo dāváne sá-cetāḥ ||

Durch eben diese Kraft spaltete er mit dem Donnerkeil den verdorrenden Verhinderer — Vṛtra, Indra. Und er entließ die fruchtbaren Fluren, wie Kühe‑Strahlen, aus schmerzender Fessel befreit — zur Gabe des inspirierten Hörens und des Ruhmes: wach, bewusst, zustimmend.
