Sukta 1.52
आर्चन्नत्र मरुतः सस्मिन्नाजौ विश्वे देवासो अमदन्ननु त्वा । वृत्रस्य यद्भृष्टिमता वधेन नि त्वमिन्द्र प्रत्यानं जघन्थ ॥
ā́rcann átra marútaḥ sásmin ājā́u víśve devā́so amádann ánu tvā | vṛtrásya yád bhṛṣṭi-mátā vadhéna ní tvám indra práty-ā́nám jaghántha ||
Hier, in dieser Schlacht, sangen die Maruts; und alle Götter frohlockten, dir folgend. Als du, o Indra, mit der glänzenden Todeswaffe gegen Vṛtra den widerstrebenden Gegner niederschlugst.
