सं सीदस्व महाँ असि शोचस्व देववीतमः । वि धूममग्ने अरुषं मियेध्य सृज प्रशस्त दर्शतम् ॥

sáṃ sīdasva mahā́ṃ asi śócasva deva-vī́tamaḥ | ví dhūmám agne aruṣáṃ miyedhya sṛ́ja prá-śasta darsatám ||

Setze dich zusammen (auf deinen Sitz), denn du bist groß; entflamme, du der den Göttern am willkommensten ist. O Agni, der du für die Opfergabe rein bist, sende deinen rötlichen Rauch aus – sichtbar, gepriesen; entfalte den herrlich anzuschauenden Glanz, der des Lobes würdig ist.
