अवोचाम निवचनान्यस्मिन्मानस्य सूनुः सहसाने अग्नौ । वयं सहस्रमृषिभिः सनेम विद्यामेषं वृजनं जीरदानुम् ॥

Transliteration

ávocāma nivácanāny asmín mā́nasya sūnúḥ sahasāné agnáu | vayáṃ sahásram ṛ́ṣibhiḥ sanema vidyā́m eṣáṃ vṛ́janaṃ jīrá-dānum ||

Translation

Wir haben die Worte der gefestigten Rede in diesem Agni gesprochen, dem Sohn des Geistes (Mānasa), dem Mächtigen. Mögen wir zusammen mit den ṛṣi das Tausendfache gewinnen; mögen wir diese suchende Kraft und die siegreiche Schar erkennen und erlangen — den Geber, der nicht altert.
