Sukta 1.164
स्त्रियः सतीस्ताँ उ मे पुंस आहुः पश्यदक्षण्वान्न वि चेतदन्धः । कविर्यः पुत्रः स ईमा चिकेत यस्ता विजानात्स पितुष्पितासत् ॥
stríyaḥ satī́s tā́m̐ u me púṁsa āāhuḥ páśyad akṣaṇvā́n ná ví cetad andháḥ | kavír yáḥ putráḥ sá īmā́ ciketa yás tā́ vijānā́t sá pitúṣ pitā́ asat ||
Wahrhaft weibliche Kräfte sind sie — doch Männer nennen sie männlich; und der Sehende erkennt es nicht: Blindheit verfehlt die Wahrheit. Der Dichter aber, der Sohn, hat dies erkannt; wer sie durchschaut, wird zum Vater des Vaters.
