Transliteration

dadhyaṅ ha me januṣaṃ pūrvo aṅgirāḥ priya-medhaḥ kaṇvo atrir manur vidus te me pūrve manur viduḥ | teṣāṃ deveṣv āyatis asmākaṃ teṣu nābhayaḥ | teṣāṃ padena mahi ā name girā indrāgnī ā name girā ||

Translation

Dadhyañc, der uralte Aṅgiras, Priyamedha, Kaṇva, Atri, Manu—sie kannten meine Geburt; auch die Vorväter kannten sie. Ihr Ausgriff ist zu den Göttern hin; in ihnen ist unser Mittelpunkt, unser Nabel der Fortdauer. Ihrer Spur folgend, nach jenem weiten Schritt, verneige ich mich mit meinem Wort; vor Indra und Agni verneige ich mich mit meinem Wort.
