ईळे द्यावापृथिवी पूर्वचित्तयेऽग्निं घर्मं सुरुचं यामन्निष्टये । याभिर्भरे कारमंशाय जिन्वथस्ताभिरू षु ऊतिभिरश्विना गतम् ॥

Transliteration

īḷé dyā́vāpṛthivī pū́rva-cittaye ’gníṃ gharmáṃ su-rúcaṃ yā́mann iṣṭáye | yā́bhir bháre kārám aṃśā́ya jínvathas tā́bhir ū́ ṣú ūtíbhir aśvínā ā́ gatam ||

Translation

Ich preise Himmel und Erde, zum Erwachen des uralten Bewusstseins; ich preise Agni, die Glut (gharma), den schön Leuchtenden, auf dem Weg zur ersehnten Erfüllung. Mit jenen Hilfen, durch die ihr das Werk des Sängers belebt zu seinem Anteil an der Wonne, mit jenen schnellen Beiständen, o Aśvins, kommt herbei.
