Sukta 1.101
यस्य द्यावापृथिवी पौंस्यं महद्यस्य व्रते वरुणो यस्य सूर्यः । यस्येन्द्रस्य सिन्धवः सश्चति व्रतं मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
yásya dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ paúṁsyaṁ mahád yásya vraté váruṇo yásya sū́ryaḥ | yásyéndrasya síndhavaḥ sáścati vratáṁ marútvantaṁ sakhyā́ya havāmahe ||
Er, dessen mächtige Manneskraft Himmel und Erde trägt; in dessen Gesetz auch Varuṇa und Sūrya wandeln; dessen Ordnung die Ströme (Sindhus) in ihrem Lauf begleiten — diesen Indra rufen wir, mit den Maruts, zur Freundschaft.
