अहोधिङ्मन्निमित्तोऽयंविनाशोराजपुत्रयोः ।अथवापुत्रशोकेनअहत्यारामलक्ष्मणौ ।।।।विधमिष्यतिमांरौद्रोराक्षसःपापनिश्चयः ।

aho dhiṅ man-nimitto 'yaṃ vināśo rāja-putrayoḥ | athavā putra-śokena ahatya rāma-lakṣmaṇau || vidhamiṣyati māṃ raudro rākṣasaḥ pāpa-niścayaḥ ||

Ach—Schande! Geschieht dieser Untergang der beiden Prinzen meinetwegen? Oder hat jener grimmige Rākṣasa—fest entschlossen zu sündhaftem Tun—aus Schmerz um seinen Sohn, da er Rāma und Lakṣmaṇa nicht töten konnte, beschlossen, mich zu vernichten?
