The Slaying of Indrajit

Ṛṣis, Pitṛs (Ahnengeister), Devas, Gandharvas, Garuḍas und Nāgas—mit Śatakratu (Indra) an der Spitze—beschützten Lakṣmaṇa in der Schlacht.
As the frightful war between Vanaras and Rakshasas went on, many beings surrounded in the sky were astonished and looked charming.
The Ramayana repeatedly links divine support with righteous alignment: protection gathers around one who stands for dharma and truth-directed duty in a just cause.
As the duel intensifies, celestial classes—led by Indra—are described as guarding Lakshmaṇa.
Lakshmaṇa’s steadfast fidelity to Rama’s mission (satya in service and dharmic loyalty) is implicitly affirmed by the protective presence of divine witnesses.
