Sarga 76: Angada and the Vanara chiefs battle Kampana, Prajaṅgha, Yūpākṣa, Śoṇitākṣa; Kumbha enters and is checked by Sugrīva

Struck by the fist of Sugriva, the Rakshasa fell just as the glowing planet endowed with brightness accidentally fell from the sky.
Adharma is unstable: even what appears ‘bright’ (powerful) can suddenly fall when opposed by rightful force and courage.
After being hit, the Rākṣasa collapses rapidly, compared to a falling meteor.
Sugrīva’s decisive strength; the simile highlights the opponent’s abrupt downfall.
