युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः

अङ्गदंव्यथितंदृष्टवासीदन्तमिवसागरम् ।।।।दुरासदंहरिश्रेष्ठंरामायन्येन्यवेदयन् ।
aṅgadaṃ vyathitaṃ dṛṣṭvā sīdantam iva sāgaram |
durāsadaṃ hariśreṣṭhaṃ rāmāya nyavēdayan ||
Als sie Angada sahen – gequält, den Vornehmsten der Vanaras, schwer anzugreifen –, wie er gleichsam in einen Ozean versank, berichteten die führenden Vanaras die Angelegenheit Rāma.
Seeing the foremost Vanara, Angada who was difficult to encounter fell and like sinking into the ocean of despondency, the foremost Vanaras submitted to Rama.
