तथैवाप्यपरेतेषांकपीनामभिलक्षिता ।।।।प्रवीरानभितोजघ्नुर्घोररूपानिशाचराः ।
tathaivāpy apare teṣāṃ kapīnām abhilakṣitāḥ | pravīrān abhito jaghnur ghorarūpā niśācarāḥ ||
Ebenso schlugen andere schreckgestaltige Nachtwandler, die sich ihre Ziele unter den Vānaras auswählten, ringsum die Helden nieder.
In the aforesaid manner the Vanaras struck more night rangers of terrific appearance, great heroes in front of them with sharp swords.
The verse shows that even in a dharmic war, danger is real and virtue alone does not guarantee safety; dharma requires perseverance and strategic awareness amid adversity.
