Sie bliesen Muschelhörner, die wie der Mond erstrahlten, und, von Zorn entflammt, erhoben sie zugleich ein gewaltiges Getöse.
They blew moon size conches shining brightly. Intolerant Rakshasas raised loud noise simultaneously.
The verse contrasts sacred symbols (the conch’s radiance) with unrighteous emotion (rage). Dharma teaching: sacred forms become hollow when driven by anger rather than truth and right intention.
The Rākṣasas create a coordinated, thunderous din—blowing conches and shouting—to awaken Kumbhakarṇa and spur him toward battle.
The implied virtue is kṣamā (forbearance) and controlled strength; the verse highlights its opposite—anger-fueled mobilization.
