teṣāṃ prahārān sa cakāra moghān rakṣodhipo bāṇaśataiḥ śitāgraiḥ |

tān vānarendrān api bāṇajālair bibheda jāmbūnada-citrapuṅkhaiḥ ||6.59.43||

Translation

Der Herr der Rākṣasas machte ihre Schläge durch Hunderte scharfspitziger Pfeile zunichte; und mit Pfeilsalven — golden, mit bunt gezeichneten Federn — durchbohrte er selbst jene Vānaras, die Anführer waren.
