सरमायाḥ सीतासान्त्वनम् तथा रावणनिश्चयश्रवणम्
Saarana Consoles Sita and Reports Ravana’s Resolve
नहिमेक्रममाणायानिरालम्बेविहायसि ।समर्थोगतिमन्वेतुंपवनोगरुडोऽपिवा ।।।।
na hi me kramamāṇāyāḥ nirālambe vihāyasi |
samartho gatim anvetuṃ pavano garuḍo 'pi vā ||
Denn wenn ich, ohne jede Stütze, durch den Himmel dahinschreite, vermag weder der Windgott noch selbst Garuḍa meinem Lauf zu folgen.
In the meantime (while Saarana was telling Sita) the sounds of drums and conchs combined with the clamour of Vanara troops was heard and it was as though the surface of the earth was shaking.
