सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge

तमश्चलोकमाव्रतेदिशश्चवचकाशिरे ।प्रतिचुक्षुभिरेचाशुसरांसिसरितस्तथा ।।।।

tamaś ca lokam āvṛte diśaś ca na cakāśire | praticukṣubhire cāśu sarāṃsi saritas tathā ||

Finsternis umhüllte die Welt; die Himmelsrichtungen waren nicht mehr zu erkennen, und rasch gerieten die Seen und ebenso die Flüsse in Aufruhr.
