विभीषणागमनम्
Vibhīṣaṇa’s Arrival and the Debate on Refuge
अथसंस्कारसम्पन्नोहनुमान् सचिवोत्तमः ।उवाचवचनंश्लक्ष्णमर्थवन्मधुरंलघु ।।6.17.50।।
atha saṃskārasampanno hanumān sacivottamaḥ | uvāca vacanaṃ ślakṣṇam arthavan madhuraṃ laghu || 6.17.50 ||
Da sprach Hanumān, der vorzüglichste der Minister, durch Bildung und Zucht vollendet, Worte, die sanft, sinnreich, süß und kurz waren.
On the other hand, Hanuman who was endowed with rich culture spoke these soft, sweet, and meaningful words briefly.
Dharma in communication is sāttvika speech: gentle, truthful, concise, and purposeful words serve righteousness better than harsh or excessive talk.
After differing opinions in the council, the narration turns to Hanumān, who is about to present his view to Rāma.
