Public Opinion and Royal Duty
अद्यमेपौरुषंदृष्टमद्यमेसफल्श्रमः ।अद्यतीर्णप्रतिज्ञोऽत्वाप्रभवाम्यद्यचात्मनः ।।6.118.4।।
adya me pauruṣaṁ dṛṣṭam adya me saphalaḥ śramaḥ |
adya tīrṇa-pratijño ’smi tvāṁ prabhavāmy adya cātmanaḥ ||6.118.4||
Heute ist meine Manneskraft erwiesen; heute hat meine Mühe Frucht getragen. Heute habe ich mein Gelübde erfüllt, und heute bin ich Herr meiner selbst—und meines Vorhabens in Bezug auf dich.
