Ein widriger Wind wehte über das Schlachtfeld, wirbelte Staub auf und raubte jenem König der Rākṣasas die Sicht.
The unfavourable wind that blew in war, clouded the sight of Rakshasa king.
Adharma leads to loss of discernment: symbolically, the dust-blinding wind reflects how unrighteousness clouds judgment at decisive moments.
As Rāvaṇa advances in battle, environmental forces turn hostile, impairing his ability to see and act effectively.
Clear-sighted self-governance (viveka) is implied as a dharmic virtue—its opposite is dramatized through Rāvaṇa’s obscured vision.
