Description of the Pushpaka Vimana and Ravana’s Inner Palace
अपरासां च वैडूर्याः कादम्बा इव पक्षिणः।हेमसूत्राणि चान्यासां चक्रवाका इवाभवन्।।5.9.50।।
aparāsāṃ ca vaiḍūryāḥ kādambā iva pakṣiṇaḥ | hemasūtrāṇi cānyāsāṃ cakravākā ivābhavan || 5.9.50 ||
Bei manchen schienen die Vaidūrya-Edelsteine wie Kadamba-Vögel; bei anderen wirkten die goldenen Ketten wie rötliche Gänse, die Cakravākas.
The vaidurya worn by women (on the breasts) looked like Kadamba birds while the golden chains put on by some others appeared like ruddy geese.
The verse indirectly supports dharma through truthful, restrained observation: beauty is described without endorsement of indulgence—Hanumān remains focused on his righteous mission despite sensory allure.
In Laṅkā’s inner chambers, Hanumān surveys the sleeping women and their ornaments, using nature-similes to describe what he sees.
Hanumān’s self-control and mission-centered discipline (niyama): he observes, but is not morally diverted.
