Description of the Pushpaka Vimana and Ravana’s Inner Palace
महत्या कुथयास्तीर्णां पृथिवीलक्षणाङ्कया।पृथिवीमिव विस्तीर्णां सराष्ट्रगृहमालिनीम्।।5.9.26।।
mahatyā kuthayāstīrṇāṃ pṛthivīlakṣaṇāṅkayā |
pṛthivīm iva vistīrṇāṃ sarāṣṭragṛhamālinīm ||5.9.26||
Dort war ein gewaltiger Teppich ausgebreitet, mit „irdischen“ Zeichen gemustert; wie die Erde selbst weit hingestreckt, trug er gleich einer Girlande Reihen von Reichen, Städten und Häusern.
The floor was covered with a wide carpet spread from wall to wall with designs of different murals of many places and houses drawn in a row (garland like). The big carpet appeared like the expanse of earth itself.
Power that ‘contains the world’ in display is still subject to Dharma: dominion and wealth are secondary to righteous rule and truthful conduct.
Hanumān observes the palace furnishings, including a grand carpet depicting worldly domains.
Steadfastness—continuing the search rather than being impressed into delay.
