The Vision of the Pushpaka and Lanka’s Jewel-like Mansions

गृहाणि नानावसुराजितानि देवासुरैश्चापि सुपूजितानि।सर्वैश्च दोषैः परिवर्जितानि कपिर्ददर्श स्वबलार्जितानि।।5.7.3।।

gṛhāṇi nānāvasurājitāni devāsuraiś cāpi supūjitāni | sarvaiś ca doṣaiḥ parivarjitāni kapir dadarśa svabalārjitāni ||5.7.3||

Der Affe erblickte Häuser, die von vielfältigen Schätzen erglänzten—Schätze, die selbst Devas und Asuras bewundern—Wohnstätten ohne jeden Makel, errungen durch die eigene Macht des Herrn.

The verse indirectly contrasts power-won wealth with righteous wealth: possessions can be splendid and ‘defect-free’ in craftsmanship, yet Dharma evaluates the means and purpose. Hanumān’s detachment models that Dharma is not dazzled by luxury.
