Hanuman’s Post-Conflagration Self-Examination and Assurance of Sita’s Safety
न हि धर्मात्मनस्तस्य भार्याममिततेजसः।स्वचारित्राभिगुप्तां तां स्प्रष्टुमर्हति पावकः।।।।
na hi dharmātmanas tasya bhāryām amita-tejasaḥ | sva-cāritrābhiguptāṁ tāṁ spraṣṭum arhati pāvakaḥ ||
Denn das Feuer darf jene Frau nicht berühren—die durch ihre eigene Keuschheit behütet ist—die Gattin jenes rechtschaffenen Mannes von unermesslichem Glanz.
