Hanuman’s Counsel to Ravana and Ravana’s Wrath
देवासुरनरेन्द्रेषु यक्षरक्षोगणेषु च।।5.51.40।।विद्याधरेषु सर्वेषु गन्धर्वेषूरगेषु च।सिद्धेषु किन्नरेन्द्रेषु पतत्रिषु च सर्वतः।।5.51.41।।सर्वभूतेषु सर्वत्र सर्वकालेषु नास्ति सः।यो रामं प्रतियुध्येत विष्णुतुल्यपराक्रमम्।।5.51.42।।
devāsuranarendreṣu yakṣarakṣogaṇeṣu ca ||5.51.40||
vidyādhareṣu sarveṣu gandharveṣv urageṣu ca |
siddheṣu kinnareṣv indreṣu patatriṣu ca sarvataḥ ||5.51.41||
sarvabhūteṣu sarvatra sarvakāleṣu nāsti saḥ |
yo rāmaṃ pratiyudhyeta viṣṇutulya-parākramam ||5.51.42||
Über alle Klassen von Wesen hinweg—Vidyādharas, Gandharvas, Schlangen, Siddhas, Könige der Kinnaras und Vögel überall—gibt es an keinem Ort und zu keiner Zeit jemanden, der Rāma im Kampf entgegentreten könnte, dessen Tapferkeit der Viṣṇus gleicht.
"He is equal to Visnu in valour. There is none who can dare face his rage, be it among gods, asuras, yakshas, rakshasas, vidyadharas, gandharvas uragas, siddhas, kings of kinnaras, birds and all beings at all places and at all times.
Dharma includes prudent restraint: when faced with righteous authority, persisting in wrongdoing is self-destructive; the verse frames adharma as unsustainable against dharma.
Hanumān continues his warning in Rāvaṇa’s assembly, broadening the claim to all orders of beings to underline the certainty of Rāma’s victory.
