Hanuman Enters Lanka and Encounters Laṅkā-devatā
सीतानिमित्तं राज्ञस्तु रावणस्य दुरात्मनः।।।।रक्षसां चैव सर्वेषां विनाशः समुपागतः।
sītā-nimittaṃ rājñas tu rāvaṇasya durātmanaḥ | rakṣasāṃ caiva sarveṣāṃ vināśaḥ samupāgataḥ ||
Wegen Sītā ist nun die Vernichtung herangekommen — für den bösgesinnten König Rāvaṇa und ebenso für alle Rākṣasas.
"The ruin of all demons and evil-minded king Ravana will take place due to (the abduction of) Sita.
Violation of dharma—here, wrongdoing centered on Sītā—brings collective ruin; protecting the innocent is a moral axis, and transgressing it triggers downfall.
Laṅkā-devatā states the consequence of Rāvaṇa’s act regarding Sītā: the impending destruction of Rāvaṇa and his demon host.
Moral clarity: recognizing that adharma against a blameless person (Sītā) inevitably rebounds upon the perpetrator.
