Hanuman Enters Lanka and Encounters Laṅkā-devatā
हनुमद्वचनं श्रुत्वा लङ्का सा कामरूपिणी।उवाच वचनं क्रुद्धा परुषं पवनात्मजम्।।।।
hanumad-vacanaṃ śrutvā laṅkā sā kāma-rūpiṇī | uvāca vacanaṃ kruddhā paruṣaṃ pavanātmajam ||
Als sie Hanumāns Worte hörte, geriet jene Laṅkā, die nach Belieben Gestalt annehmen konnte, in Zorn und redete den Sohn des Windgottes schroff an.
The spirit of Lanka who could assume any form at her will got enraged on hearing the words of Hanuman and spake in a harsh tone.;
