Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal

Heute sah ich einen schrecklichen, schaudererregenden Traum: Er kündet vom Untergang der Rākṣasas und vom Sieg ihres Gemahls.
"Tonight I had a terrific, horriplating nightmare in which I saw the annihilation of all demons and the triumph of Sita's husband".
Adharma (cruelty and unlawful captivity) ultimately collapses; the verse asserts a moral universe where truth and righteousness culminate in the defeat of violent wrongdoing.
Trijaṭā reports a terrifying dream to the other rākṣasīs, interpreting it as a sign that Rāvaṇa’s side will be destroyed and Sītā’s husband will prevail.
Trijaṭā’s truthfulness and moral clarity—she dares to state an ominous truth to her own group, aligning with dharma over factional loyalty.
