Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal
ततस्ताभ्यां कुमाराभ्यामास्थित: स गजोत्तमः।।5.27.16।।सीतया च विशालाक्ष्या लङ्काया उपरिस्थितः।
tatastābhyāṃ kumārābhyām āsthitaḥ sa gajottamaḥ |
sītayā ca viśālākṣyā laṅkāyā uparisthitaḥ ||5.27.16||
Darauf stand jener erhabenste Elefant, bestiegen von den beiden Prinzen und von der großäugigen Sītā, hoch über Laṅkā.
"Rama accompanied by his wife Sita came on a chariot yoked to eight white oxen.
The scene symbolizes dharma’s ascendancy over adharma: the righteous (princes with Sītā) are depicted literally above Laṅkā, implying moral victory and the lifting of oppression.
In Hanumān’s dream-vision, Sītā and the two princes are shown mounted on an elephant positioned above Laṅkā.
Leadership aligned with righteousness: the princes’ presence with Sītā indicates rightful protection and impending justice.
