Hanuman’s Circuit of Ravana’s Palace and the Crisis of Deliberation

Nachdem er ihnen—und auch Sugrīva—Ehrerbietung erwiesen hatte, blickte Māruti in alle Himmelsrichtungen und wandte sich dann dem Aśoka-Hain zu.
Having offered salutations to all gods as well as to Sugriva, he looked at all quarters and left for the Ashoka grove.
Dharma as disciplined action: paying respect to rightful allies and higher powers, then proceeding with alertness and direction in one’s duty.
After offering salutations, Hanuman surveys the surroundings and heads toward Aśoka-vāṭikā, the likely place where Sītā is kept.
Vigilance and strategic prudence—he observes all directions before moving in hostile territory.
