समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः
Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing

Wie ein Meteor, der aus dem nördlichen Himmelsviertel hervorbricht, am Himmel mit nachziehender Spur dahinschießt, so sah man jenen Elefanten unter den Affen eilends dahinstürmen.
The elephant-like monkey was seen darting across the ocean(going from north to south) like a meteor risen in the north along with its tail-end falling down the sky.
The verse highlights resolute forward motion in righteous service—Dharma as unwavering commitment to a true objective (Sītā’s discovery and Rāma’s cause).
Hanumān is observed mid-journey across the sea, his motion compared to a meteor’s bright, tailed streak.
Niścaya (firm resolve) and tvarā (swift, decisive action) in the service of truth and justice.
