Sugriva on Surveying the Earth’s Regions
सम्पश्यन्विविधान्देशानस्तं च गिरिसत्तमम्।प्राप्य चास्तं गिरिश्रेष्ठमुत्तरां सम्प्रधावितः।।।।
sampaśyan vividhān deśān astaṁ ca girisattamam |
prāpya cāstaṁ giriśreṣṭham uttarāṁ sampradhāvitaḥ ||
Viele Länder schauend, erreichte ich den vortrefflichen Berg namens Asta, den Berg des Sonnenuntergangs; und als ich jenen erhabenen Gipfel erreicht hatte, lief ich weiter nach Norden.
Then offering reverential salutation to Rama, Sugriva said, 'I shall narrate in detail. Listen, O bull among men !
