वानरसेनामिलनम् / The Mustering of the Vanara Hosts
त्वत्सनाथ: सखे सङ्ख्ये जेताऽस्मि सकलानरीन्।त्वमेव मे सुहृतन्मित्रं साहाय्यं कर्तुमर्हसि।।4.39.5।।
tvatsanāthaḥ sakhe saṅkhye jetā 'smi sakalānarīn |
tvam eva me suhṛtān mitraṃ sāhāyyaṃ kartum arhasi || 4.39.5 ||
O Freund, mit dir als Stütze im Kampf werde ich alle Feinde besiegen. Du allein bist mein wahrer Wohlgesinnter und Freund; darum ziemt es dir, mir Beistand zu leisten.
Sarabha, Kumuda, Vahni and Ramhi and many other vanara troops who can assume any form at their will and others from all over the land, mountains and forest advanced towards Sugriva. All the outstanding vanaras of the earth came and covered the land.
Dharma of reciprocity and loyalty: Rama frames assistance among allies as a righteous duty grounded in genuine friendship and mutual support.
Rama reaffirms the Rama–Sugriva alliance and relies on Sugriva’s promised help as the search for Sita is set in motion.
Sugriva’s steadfastness as a suhṛt (true well-wisher) and Rama’s clarity in honoring alliances.
