Transliteration

kaccin na sagajā sāśvā sajanā sajanādhipā |

rāma-santāpa-duḥkhena dagdhā śokāgninā purī ||

Translation

„Ist diese Stadt etwa vom Feuer der Trauer verbrannt worden — vom Schmerz über Rāmas Leiden — mitsamt ihren Elefanten und Pferden, ihrem Volk und ihrem Herrn?“
