चित्रकूटगमनम् तथा पर्णशालाप्रवेशः
Arrival at Chitrakuta and Establishing the Leaf-Hut
स लक्ष्मणः कृष्णमृगं मेध्यं हत्वा प्रतापवान्।अथ चिक्षेप सौमित्रिस्समिद्धे जातवेदसि।।।।
sa lakṣmaṇaḥ kṛṣṇamṛgaṃ medhyaṃ hatvā pratāpavān | atha cikṣepa saumitriḥ samiddhe jātavedasi ||
Da tötete der kraftvolle Lakṣmaṇa, Sohn der Sumitrā, eine reine schwarze Antilope, opferwürdig, und warf sie als Opfergabe in das gut entfachte Feuer.
Then the powerful son of Sumitra killed a black antelope fit for offering, and offered it to the well-kindled fire.
Dharma is enacted as sacrificial responsibility: offerings are made with attention to purity and prescribed form, aligning action with sacred order.
Lakṣmaṇa completes the practical ritual step by offering the sanctioned animal into the consecrated fire.
