भरद्वाजाश्रमप्राप्तिः
Arrival at Bharadvāja’s Hermitage and Counsel toward Citrakūṭa
यत्र भागीरथीं गङ्गां यमुनाभिप्रवर्तते।जग्मुस्तं देशमुद्दिश्य विगाह्य सुमहद्वनम्।।।।ते भूमिभागान्विविधान् देशांश्चापि मनोरमान्।अदृष्टपूर्वान् पश्यन्तस्तत्र तत्र यशश्विनः।।।।
yatra bhāgīrathīṁ gaṅgāṁ yamunābhipravartate |
jagmus taṁ deśam uddiśya vigāhya sumahad vanam ||
te bhūmibhāgān vividhān deśāṁś cāpi manoramān |
adṛṣṭapūrvān paśyantas tatra tatra yaśaśvinaḥ ||
Rāma, Sītā und Lakṣmaṇa, ruhmreich an Ehre, drangen in den gewaltigen Wald ein und zogen dem Ort entgegen, wo die Yamunā mit der Bhāgīrathī-Gaṅgā zusammenfließt; unterwegs erblickten sie mannigfache Landstriche und liebliche Gegenden, die sie nie zuvor gesehen hatten.
Rama entered the hermitage and saw that high-souled Bharadwaja surrounded by his disciples. He was a distinguished sage who (himself) kindled sacrficial fires and acquired spiritual insight by practising rigid austerities with concentration of mind and ascetic powers. Rama, Lakshmana and Sita paid their obeisance to that great sage.
