सीताया वनानुगमननिश्चयः

Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest

स्वयं तु भार्यां कौमारीं चिरमध्युषितां सतीम्।शैलूष इव मां राम परेभ्यो दातुमिच्छसि।।2.30.8।।

svayaṃ tu bhāryāṃ kaumārīṃ ciram adhyuṣitāṃ satīm |

śailūṣa iva māṃ rāma parebhyo dātum icchasi ||2.30.8||

Und doch willst du selbst, o Rāma, mich wie ein Schauspieler anderen übergeben: mich, deine junge, keusche und tugendhafte Gattin, die lange bei dir gewohnt hat.
