O Sita, my discretion fails me in deciding whether to take you to Dandaka forest or not. You are, however, firmly determined to follow me, saying, you can live in the forest.
Shared dharma in marriage: Sita’s resolve to accompany Rama reflects sahadharma (joint pursuit of duty), even under hardship.
Rama acknowledges Sita’s unwavering decision to accompany him into forest exile, specifically toward the Dandaka region.
Sita’s steadfast loyalty and courage, and Rama’s responsible deliberation about her welfare.
