Kausalya’s Benedictions and Protective Rites for Rama

आनम्य मूर्ध्नि चाघ्राय परिष्वज्य यशस्विनी।अवदत्पुत्र सिद्धार्थो गच्छ राम यथासुखम्।।2.25.40।।

Transliteration

ānamya mūrdhni cāghrāya pariṣvajya yaśasvinī | avadat putra siddhārtho gaccha rāma yathāsukham || 2.25.40 ||

Translation

Die ruhmreiche Königin beugte ihn zu sich, roch an seiner Stirn und umarmte ihn; dann sprach sie: „Mein Sohn, dem das Ziel gelingen möge—Rāma—geh in Frieden.“
