सुमन्त्रदर्शनम् तथा रामस्य राजदर्शनाय प्रस्थानम्
Sumantra Meets Rama; Rama Departs to See the King
एवमुक्तस्तु संहृष्टो नरसिंहो महाद्युतिः।ततस्सम्मानयामास सीतामिदमुवाच ह।।।।
evam uktas tu saṃhṛṣṭo narasiṃho mahādyutiḥ |
tatas sammānayāmāsa sītām idam uvāca ha || 2.16.14 ||
So angesprochen, freute sich Rāma—der strahlende Löwe unter den Menschen. Dann, nachdem er Sumantra gebührend geehrt hatte, sprach er diese Worte zu Sītā.
Highly lustrous Rama ,the lion among men, when thus spoken to, was immensely pleased and extending due honour to him said to Sita:
Dharma is expressed as respect and proper reception: even when pleased, Rāma maintains protocol by honouring the messenger before speaking privately.
After hearing the summons, Rāma reacts with joy and then turns to speak with Sītā.
Rāma’s courtesy and disciplined conduct—he balances emotion with etiquette.
