FAQs

It presents Viṣṇu’s yogic sleep (yoganidrā) on Kṣīra-sāgara as a cosmic state of rest and potentiality, from which he is roused when creation or divine action must proceed.

It emphasizes Viṣṇu as the supreme Lord who governs cosmic cycles—resting in transcendence yet becoming active at the appropriate time—while Brahmā functions as an agent within that larger divine order.

It suggests the discipline of right timing: rest or withdrawal is appropriate until duty calls, and action should be undertaken when the proper moment (kārya-kāla) arrives.
