अद्ध्वर्यवे प्रतीची तु उद्गातुश्चोत्तरा तथा । त्रैलोक्यं सकलं ब्रह्मा ददौ तेषां तु दक्षिणाम्

addhvaryave pratīcī tu udgātuścottarā tathā | trailokyaṃ sakalaṃ brahmā dadau teṣāṃ tu dakṣiṇām

Dem Adhvaryu gab er die westliche Himmelsgegend, und ebenso dem Udgātṛ die nördliche; Brahmā gewährte ihnen als dakṣiṇā, als Opfergabe, die ganze dreifache Welt.
