Reciting or listening to a hymn that functions as worship of Madhumathana (Viṣṇu), and also helping others by giving ‘mati’—right understanding or guidance.
It treats śravaṇa (hearing), pāṭha (recitation), and kīrtana (praise) as direct worship that leads to Viṣṇu’s abode and divine honor.
Sharing clarity, counsel, or spiritual understanding with others is also meritorious and is counted alongside personal devotion.
