FAQs

It references the Prāvargya, a Vedic preparatory rite associated with the Soma-sacrifice tradition, described here through its practical performance by expert Brahmins and the Adhvaryu priest.

The Adhvaryu is the Yajurvedic officiating priest responsible for the practical execution of ritual actions—measuring, preparing, and offering—during a yajña.

The verse highlights disciplined, correct performance of sacred duty (ritual precision carried out by qualified practitioners), implying that competence, purity of procedure, and learned stewardship are essential in sacred acts.
