Concept: Approaching a realized sage is itself a purifying passage; true heroism culminates in humility before tapas.

Application: Seek counsel from the wise before major decisions; treat places of discipline (study, worship, service) as ‘āśramas’ worthy of reverence.

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

Cyavana is a revered ṛṣi (sage) in Sanskrit tradition, here portrayed as residing in a radiant hermitage (āśrama) that the hero approaches and enters.

It highlights the āśrama as “atiśobhitam” (exceedingly splendid), suggesting a sanctified, spiritually charged environment associated with a great sage.

It marks a transition into a key encounter: the hero arrives at Cyavana’s residence and directly beholds the sage, setting up the ensuing dialogue or event.
